Slate is a metamorphic rock derived from a hard and durable sedimentary rock. It is available in a wide color range with many finishes: polished, brushed, riven and tumbled. It is used for interior and exterior decoration projects, including flooring with underfloor heating. It is available as tiles, panels, mosaic, cobblestone, polygonal flagstone, countertops and SKIN flexible slate.
With large tiles and similar to ancient slabs, Sikis Polygonal Slate is used for garden alleys, but you can also clad exterior terraces. For polygonal stone, installation requires concrete or semi dry screed and adhesives such as Weber Marmo Plus or Weber Porcelain Max 2, both flexible, as well as Webercolor Stone, waterproof grout for the exterior, recommended for joints over 5 cm. For large tiles (slabs) installation requires a sand bed and for this you will need a 10 cm ditch filled with sand, so that tile can reach ground level. A medium traffic is recommended for the cladded surface. Aftercare is required on regular basis, with LTP professional solutions and for this detergents and sealers are used, according to installation site.
