One of the most popular natural stones for the interior or exterior decoration projects is travertine. An intense color variation combined with a porous structure managed to create a very special stone. Besides, you can also view travertine as a mosaic of the natural landscape – a story captured in pieces torn from the universe.
Silver Cross Cut Brushed and Chiseled Edge Travertine can generate inspiration for your exterior decoration projects. The brushed and chiseled edge finish convey such a beauty and is also slip-resistant. The wide color variation of this travertine transmits a versatility that makes it a perfect fit in any decoration project, regardless of the interior design style.
Silver Cross Cut Brushed and Chiseled Edge Travertine can be used mostly for the exterior decoration projects, especially alleys but also for high traffic areas. A garden decoration project, a public space, a swimming pool or terrace paving, are all projects for which travertine is the ideal solution.
What you need to know about installation:
Installation is as important as choosing the best suited stone for your project.
After unpacking, the travertin tiles must be washed and dried.
For installing the tiles, we recommend Weber Set Marmo Plus, a flexible fast setting adhesive, also suitable for exterior and projects with underfloor heating.
Weber Color Perfect grouting joints will be applied after fixing the tiles for highlighting natural stone, with more than 30 color shades to choose from.
For a correct installation, we recommend contracting a specialist.
What about natural stone aftercare?
Travertine is a hard and durable stone and for an extended lifetime you should keep in mind 3 procedures: cleaning, sealing and aftercare.
Clean the surface before sealing with LTP Grimex, available in our range of solutions (approx. 1L = 40 – 50 sqm)
Seal the surface with LTP Mattstone H2O, an eco-friendly solution based on water
Enhance and highlight the color of travertine with LTP Color Intensifier, which also seals the micropores, thus preventing the water from penetrating the surface and staining
For daily cleaning and aftercare, we recommend LTP Waxwash, a cleaner that will not influence the sealed surface (1L = 700 sqm)
For stubborn stains, we recommend LTP Power Stripper and for rust stains LTP Grout Stain Remover (1L = 30 – 40 sqm).
