Resistant acrylic barrier protection
Easy maintenance
Indoor use only (no shower cabins or wet spaces)
Suitable for residential and commercial use, Ironwax Satin is an easy to apply low maintenance self-shine satin finish film forming acrylic sealer.
Directions for use
Make sure surface to be treated is completely clean and dry, with minimum 24 hrs before applying the solution. Any moisture present over surface may lead to LTP Ironwax Satin drying opaque.
Application, depending on surface
For unpolished surfaces (riven, brushed or flamed surfaces). Use a sponge or paint brush to apply a thin coat evenly in one direction. Do not rub or buff. Allow to dry (for 1 hr.) Apply until an evenly thin film is formed. (usually 3 times). For a higher sheen further coats should be applied at right angles to the previous (max.6).
For honed and tumbled surfaces, apply using a J cloth saturated with solution. Pour contents into a separate container. Dip cloth into solution and squeeze it. Fold the cloth and apply a thin coat evenly to the surface without rubbing. Apply until an evenly thin film is created (usually 3 times). Allow to dry (1 hr.).
Do not over apply as too many coats may cause unsightly build up and/or reduce the efficiency of the product. Hardens after about an hour but will take a further three days to achieve full hardness and become fully water resistant. If in doubt, experiment on spare tiles to establish the correct method of application and optimum number of coats before general use.
Maintenance
Routinely sweep the floor. Use LTP Floorshine to clean and protect treated surfaces. In areas where the seal becomes worn, apply more LTP Ironwax Satin. At some stage, complete renovation of the seal might be needed. In this case use LTP Grimex to strip the original seal before re-sealing.
Coverage
Approximately 15-30 sqm per liter (one coat) depending on the porosity of the substrate.
PLEASE NOTE: In the case of very porous surfaces (polished limestone, sandstone etc.) seal surface in advance with one coat of LTP Mattstone H20 (strong water-based sealant).
